REIGNING champion Lautoka Blues soccer team will play the game of their lives against Rewa in the Vodafone Premier League on Sunday.

The Sugar City players only need a draw to retain the title and the players expect a tough challenge against the Delta Tigers.

The side will be strengthened by the inclusion of national reps Kolinio Sivoki, Dave Radregai, Kavaia Rawaqa and Zibaz Sahib and the presence of their home fans will inspire the side to fulfil its goal.

Team president Abdul Kadar said Rewa would try to spoil Lautoka’s party and it would be a tough battle.

He said the Delta Tigers had some talented players and would be out in full force to prevent Lautoka from winning.

“This is one of our most important matches this year and the boys are ready for the battle,” said Kadar.

“We know that Rewa is also a champion team and will want to beat us on our home turf.

“We just need a draw but we know it will not come easy.”

Apart from the national reps, the Blues will also feature big names such as Benjamin Totori, Beniamino Mateinaqara, Samuela Drudru, Osea Vakatalesau, Jone Vesikula and Ilaitia Tuilau. Rewa on the other hand will also be boosted by the inclusion of national reps such as Epeli Saukuru, Misaele Draunibaka, Jonetani Buksh and Epeli Loaniceva.

The game will be held at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Sunday, 3pm.
