PORT MORESBY – Australia’s Foreign Minister Julie Bishop arrives in Port Moresby today for a three-day official visit.
Ms Bishop will officiate in Australian-funded projects starting with a launching at the PNGIPA and then move to the University of Papua New Guinea and other projects. The PNGIPA at Waigani is being renamed the Pacific Institute of Leadership and Governance.
Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Rimbink Pato said Ms Bishop will meet Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and other relevant ministers before flying to New Ireland Province to officiate in Australian funded projects.
Mr Pato said high on the agenda, apart from the visitation to Australian-funded projects, would be the earthquake and the help Australia was giving to PNG in the five affected provinces.
