BEING named the country’s best luxury accommodation at the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards gala ceremony has been attributed to the winning resort’s team dedication to providing excellence and top quality personalised service.
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa area general manager South Pacific, Andrew Davidson said this was the eighth Fiji Excellence in Tourism Award earned by resort since it opened in 2009, including recognition for the resort’s spa, restaurants, frontline staff and corporate incentives program.
“We are extremely proud and honoured to have won the Accommodation Luxury category. This is due to our resort team’s dedication to providing excellence and top quality personalised service alongside our beautiful location on Natadola Bay, one of the best beaches in the world,” said Mr Davidson.
“We also have to acknowledge and thank the many tourism stakeholders who help us deliver the best experience for our guests; and of course the unwavering support of our owners — the Fiji National Provident Fund.
“There are many excellent resorts in Fiji and to add this award to others we have received confirms our belief in our product, our partners and in our people who are providing the best luxury resort experience in Fiji,” said Mr Davidson.
The awards were held on Saturday last week and celebrated those who have made exceptional contributions to the tourism industry in Fiji during 2017.
