BASTILLE Day celebrations was held last night at the French Ambassador to Fiji, Sujiro Seam’s residence in Suva.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama and President of Fiji Jioji Konrote.
Speaking at the event, Mr Seam said when he arrived as the ambassador he had three priorities which he wanted to work on.
“These three were the diplomatic relations, the political relations and economic diplomacy and regional integration,” Mr Seam said.
Every July 14, the French mark the storming of the Bastille in Paris back in 1789 – with La Fete Nationale or Bastille Day – a significant event in the French Revolution.
