Bainimarama’s well wishes to re-elected NZ PM

Update: 5:28PM NEW Zealands participation in Fijis elections did not go unnoticed by Prime Minister Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama.
In a government statement issued today, Rear Admiral (Ret) Bainimarama sent his well wishes to New Zealands re-elected Prime Minister John Key and also thanked the New Zealand government for the close bilateral ties the two countries share.
New Zealand people went to the poll three days after Fijians cast their votes.
Fiji values highly New Zealand’s contribution to our own democratic processes culminating in the recent first truly democratic election to return the country to parliamentary rule, he said in a government statement issued today.
As we move into this next phase, I look forward to closely working with you and your government to strengthen the very important relationship that exists between Fiji and New Zealand.
