THE successful hosting of the two men Ambrose event at the Lautoka Golf Club course last Saturday has prompted the officials to continue with the same format for the second consecutive week.

This time around, prominent sponsors Mahen Gopal and Anita Persaud of Toronto Canada will sponsor the event.

Club president Chong Lee acknowledged the generous contribution to the club for over a decade by Mahen Gopal and Anita Persaud.

“This is just the start of the summer season golf and the Ambrose event is the ideal format for all golfers to be part of.

Attractive prizes will be on offer and we welcome new members to join the club, not only to compete, but at the same time to relax the mind and body after a hectic week in the office.”

Golf is a sport whereby if you play bad on the day, you can only blame yourself on your performance.

Apart from the main prizes, the sponsorship will boast the juniors and beginners category.

Other club members are invited to be part of the main event.

Penang Golf Club duo Asish Kumar and Bhupendra Dass meanwhile won the first two men Ambrose event last weekend.

New Zealand-based and former national rep and seven time record Ba Open champion, Anuresh Chandra will team up with Raymond Singh alongside Roneel Prakash and Amitesh Chandra.

Tee-off – 12.30pm – 1.30pm.
