Ba market flooded

Update: 10:49AM ABOUT 100 vendors from the Ba Municipal Market are selling produce outside Rajendra Prasad Foodtown Supermarket in Ba.
Ba Market Vendors Association president Nitesh Prasad said the municipal
market was flooded overnight and mud and silt was littered throughout the
produce trading centre.
“We have no choice but to take the risk and come out and sell because
this is our only form of survival,” he said.
Mr Prasad added that vendors were also preparing for more inclement
weather this weekend.
The Fiji Meteorological Service issued a tropical cyclone alert for Fiji
at 3.22am today.
