THE Ba football team will be gunning for their ninth title at this year’s Vodafone Fiji FACT.

The men-in-black is the only team which has won four back-to-back Fiji FACT titles from 2004 to 2007.

The Fiji FA clarified in a statement today that Ba was the first team to engrave their name on the Fiji FACT trophy when it was first played in 1991, defeating Labasa 1-0 in the final at home.

The last time Ba won was in 2010 when they defeated Navua 1-0 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Since then the men-in-black have reached two finals which was in 2012 and 2013.

In 2012 they lost to Suva 1-0 at home and Nadi beat Ba 3-1 in the 2013 final at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The traditional giants of Fiji soccer will be coming out with wounded pride and the fans can look forward to a new intensity in their games.
