Aust, NZ next for NFP

FOLLOWING its successful rally in United States and Canada, the National Federation Party’s (NFP) next target would be Australia and New Zealand.

Party leader Professor Biman Prasad said the party had received a lot of invitations from its supporters in Australia and New Zealand and would be responding to them in due course.

“A lot of supporters in Australia and New Zealand want to hear from us about the party and our policies as we build up for the elections,” Prof Prasad said.

He said his trip with the party’s president Pio Tikoduadua to the US and Canada was successful and he was pleased to have been able to meet so many party supporters.

“We were asked a lot of questions on the country’s political, social and political progress and we were happy to give our views,” Prof Prasad said.

He said a lot of Fijians living there were interested in the 2018 General Election.

“A lot of questions pertaining to sugar and the country’s health sector were also asked.

“Many of the Fijians living abroad are aware of the challenges their families are facing in Fiji because they constantly liaise with them.”

With this being the first trip for NFP, Prof Prasad said he was happy to personally connect with the people, together with the party president.
