IT’S one down and six more to go for the Fiji Airways Drua team as they set their course to another tough battle against Brisbane City this weekend.

After an impressive outing against the Melbourne Rising last Saturday, the Drua team believes there are still some areas of improvement for the side.

Drua backline coach Saiasi Fuli was impressed with the performance of the new boys as they easily adapted to the Drua’s game style.

“I was really impressed with the individual performance and the team effort from the boys, there were few new players in the team and they automatically adjusted themselves in the competition,” Fuli said.

“We will review our last match and see the areas that we need to work on before we face Brisbane City.

Brisbane city defeated the Drua last year 45-36 in the first round of the NRC despite a second half come back for the Fijian boys.

“This team has 60 to 70 per cent of Super Rugby players so we will step up on our preparation to match our opponents,” Fuli said.

Fuli said they had set their goals for this season and would make sure they accomplish their mission.

“This year we have set our plan, our goal to go up a match this season and that is to win the competition, and to do that we need to challenge these players – the new ones because there is no break, just a week in and week out matches,” Fuli added.

The Drua will take on the Brisbane City this  Saturday at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
