Akbar launches Dengue campaign out west

Update: 1:40PM THE National Anti-Dengue Campaign was launched in Nadi today by Minister for Health and Medical Services Rosy Akbar.
Launching the campaign at the Nawaka District School, she said fighting the disease has taken up a lot of the ministry’s resources.
“Today we are here to see how best we can fight this disease especially through awareness in our schools and our young people who can help us with clean up campaigns and wiping out mosquito breeding areas,” she said.
“We are here launching the Fight the Bite campaign and a clean up campaign to assist us in managing the current outbreak of dengue in the country.”
A range of education focused activities was held today including an oratory contest between schools from around the Nadi area.
