RESIDENTS living in parts of Ba will face disrupted water supply from 8am today (Friday September 21) until 6am tomorrow (Saturday, September 22).
This was the advisory issued from the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) late last night.
According to the advisory, the interruption in supply is due to the process of de-silting at Balevuto Dam.
This process involves cleaning out the dam where silt and accumulated sediments gets washed in and over time has reduced the dam capacity.
Areas Affected Include;
Balevuto
Nukuloa
Nacaci
Vatusui
The authority has also advised its customers residing in these areas to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during the period.
Water carts will be on standby to service the areas as and when the need arises.
Supply is expected to be gradually restored at 8am to 9am (22/03).
