ADVISORY: NDMO to conduct tsunami drill in Nasese

MEMBERS of the public have been advised that the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) will be conducting a tsunami drill  along the Nasese corridor on Tuesday, September 25.

According to a statement from Government, the drill will be carried out in collaboration with seven agencies along the Nasese corridor.

The agencies are:

  • Office of the President
  • Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources
  • Ministry of iTaukei Affairs
  • iTaukei Trust Fund Board
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Police Academy
  • Fiji Revenue and Customs Services

This means that the agencies mentioned above will temporary be closed from 11am  – 2pm on Tuesday.

NDMO has also advised members of the public living along the vicinity not to be alarmed.

The Queen Elizabeth drive from Bowling Club to FCRS office will be temporary closed during this time.
