A day for our children

CHILDREN around the country yesterday paraded the centre-stage of their churches with their palm branches as they re-enacted the triumphant arrival of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
Palm Sunday falls on the Sunday before Easter every year.
The famous church hymn Hosanna in the highest and Bible scriptures echoed in churches as children waved their palm branches as a symbol of triumph.
Most church services were led by children who performed skits, recited verses from the Bible and even sang special choruses.
Seven-year-old Tokoni Lati said he was blessed because God’s love was evident to him every day.
“I thank God for giving me good parents and for protecting me.”
Tokoni was part of the many Sunday schoolchildren of the Nadera Methodist Church in Nasinu who took part in yesterday’s Palm Sunday service.
