57 students to receive Aussie-standard qualifications

Update: 3:06PM A TOTAL of 57 students will be awarded Australian-standard qualifications in 17 different programs from Australia-Pacific Technical College (APTC) tomorrow at Novotel in Nadi.
The Nadi graduation ceremony will see the students graduating in carpentry, cookery, electro-technology, fabrication, diesel fitting, disability, fitting and machining, hospitality, leadership and management, light vehicle mechanical technology, painting and decorating, patisserie, plumbing, tourism and youth work.
Out of the 57 students, 16 are women of which majority of whom are from the tourism and hospitality industry.
Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) CEO Fantasha Lockington will deliver the keynote address at the graduation ceremony and the Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes, to deliver the closing address.
This is the ninth APTC graduation ceremony for 2018, with earlier events held in Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.
