MORE than 500 recipients today received grants of up to $1000 through the fourth phase of the 2017-2018 Micro and Small business grant disbursement by the Government.
Minister for Trade, Industry, Tourism, Land and Mineral Resources Faiyaz Koya said the grant would assist small business owners in Navua.
“We will witness the disbursement of cheques for 554 successful recipients that will be engaging in various business ventures from handicraft, farming to baking to frozen food selling and tailoring to name a few,” Mr Koya said.
He said the grant would not only assist the respective businesses of the recipients but it will also generate economic activity for the wonderful town of Navua.
