Update: 5:14PM ABOUT 500 pictures are currently on display at the University of the South Pacifics (USP) Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture and Pacific Studies.
The display is part of the build-up towards USPs 50th anniversary celebrations and is organized by the Faculty of Arts, Law and Education (FALE) in collaboration with the National Archives of Fiji, The Fiji Times and other various sections of the university.
FALE Dean, Dr Akanisi Kedrayate said the display was about a journey from when the pacific people established the university to where it was now.
“The photographs, the videos and the newspaper articles and publications are set up there and the artists have spent many nights and days to choose the right photographs that will clearly explain the journey,” Dr Kedrayate said.
“It is important for the public to come out and view the university and see how it vividly depicts the journey that the university has taken from then till now.”
The exhibition which started on Monday will end this Friday.
