A 5.4 MAGNITUDE earthquake was recorded in the Fiji region yesterday, occuring at a 10km depth.
The seismic activity occurred at 3.32pm, and was located 317km East from Labasa, 256km East-northeast from Somosomo in Taveuni, and 467km Northeast from Suva.
The Seismology Unit of the Mineral Resources department said moderate quake occurred at a shallow depth.
However, it stated that that did not pose any immediate threat to the region.
