A TOTAL of 365 Fiji National University students today graduated from the College of Engineering, Science and Technology at a ceremony held at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

While delivering the keynote address, Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Jone Usamate encouraged graduands to be aware of the changes taking place in their area of speciality once they entered the workplace.

“Because as you enter the workforce, remember that what you have learnt can become obsolete very quickly,” he said.

“Keep yourself up to date with changes in your field, especially if you are involved in fields like ICT , where the rate of change of technology is already having an impact on the jobs that are existing and those that are becoming obsolete.”

Also, a total of 322 students graduated from the College of Business, Hospitality and Tourism Studies at FNU’s first graduation session this morning.

More than 1300 students will graduate from FNU this year.
