MORE than 300 people registered for the free medicine program at the 2018 Vodafone Hibiscus Festival this week.

A Government statement issued today said people were able to access health services ranging from free health screenings, registration for free medicine program, diabetes screenings and information on Wolbachia program.

It said all those services were available to those that had visited the Valelevu grounds in Nasinu during the Hibiscus festival.

According to the Ministry of Health, more than 31,000 Fijians are benefiting from the free medicine program.

A Suva resident Waisea Guwere who had registered for the free medicine program acknowledged the Ministry of Health for its service.

Mr Guwere was quoted in the statement saying he was able to register within 15 minutes, adding the staff was very helpful.
