THE $3.9million brand new Public Rental Board flats that opened in Savusavu will lower housing prices for members of the public there.
Consisting of two four-storey buildings, the new flats will house 48 families.
Officiating at the opening of the flats, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said the flats would provide low housing options for members of the public in Savusavu.
Mr Bainimarama was informed that the two bedroom flats in the newly-opened buildings would cost $50 a month for two bedroom flats and $45 a month for the single bedroom units.
The 48 new rental units comprises 32-one and 16-two bedroom units.
