LABASA started its 2018 Vodafone Fiji FACT campaign with a 2-0 win over neighbours Dreketi at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori yesterday. Dreketi held Labasa to a scoreless draw at half time with Dreketi’s best chance coming midway in the first half when midfielder Anish Khem received a pass in the penalty box, but he overran the ball and it was cleared by the Labasa defence. The Anand Sami-coached Labasa scored its two goals in the second half when Ratu Anare and then Pita Levaci managed to find the back of the net in the dying minutes of the match. “I am happy to get three points in the bag for Labasa,” Sami said. “The players were down in the first half and we could not score goals, but we changed things around in the second half to score two goals. “It is hard to say anything since anything can happen as the pool is wide open at this point.” Dreketi was without regular coach Johan Leewai who could not travel with the team because of the work commitments.
