BOLLYWOOD superstar Salman Khan has wished our national sevens rugby team well as they prepare for the Rugby World Cup 7s in San Francisco from July 20-22.

The star posed with the Fiji flag whilst in Vancouver to further show his support for Team Fiji.
Khan was in the United States and Canada for his Da-Bangg Reloaded tour.

Security company Metropolitan owned by Fiji born Abhinash Bachchan who has been living in Canada for the past 28 years provided security for Khan.

Bachchan’s new business partner and who was part of the security detail, Petaia Usakilakeba said Khan knew of Fiji’s prowess in rugby and wanted to hold the Fiji flag to show his support for the Fiji team.

“He was here for four days and we have been sharing jokes together and he knows the history of the Girmitya in Fiji,” Usakilakeba said.
He added that Khan said he would like to visit Fiji one day.

“I talked to him about our sevens team and he knew that Fiji is a good rugby nation. I told him about the World Cup in two weeks and he wanted to hold the flag of Fiji to show his support for our boys.”
