THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team lost to South Africa 24-19 in the Rugby World Cup Sevens bronze play-offs at the AT & T Park in San Francisco this afternoon.

The Jerry Tuwai-captained side failed to recover from their semi-final loss to outright winner New Zealand allowing South Africa to dictate.

Forward Semi Kunatani was sinbinned giving their oppositions the opportunity to capitalise.

Fiji tried to bounce back but time was not on its side.

Fiji’s tries were scored by Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Semi Radradra and Josua Tuisova.
