2018 General Elections: 630,000-plus eligible to vote

THE total number of voters eligible to vote in the 2018 General Elections is 637,527.

Fiji’s Supervisor for Elections Mohammed Saneem made this know at a press conference this afternoon.

He said out of the 637,527 voters, 316,431 were females and 321,096 males.

He said the Central Division had 265,184 voters, Western Division is the second highest with 244,245, North has 94,094, and the Eastern Division with 26,034 voters.

Mr Saneem said there were 7970 overseas registered voters.

He said the total number of voters assigned for pre-poll was 70,519 and the total number of voters eligible for voting on election day stood at 559,038.

He said the FEO would be printing 764,900 ballot papers bound into 15,298 books.
