GOVERNMENT will be developing adult education run by the Fiji National University.
While delivering the 2018/2019 National Budget address, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said some of the courses included managing basic finances, filing tax returns and applying for social welfare benefits and other schemes.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said these courses would be taught after hours by teachers.
He also said they would redesign certain courses in the school curriculum too.
“We are going to comprehensively review our school curriculum because students need the right skills and right qualifications to be competitive in a modern economy,” he said.
“All Fijians deserve an education system which keeps up with them as well.”
