2018/19 Budget: Fifteen technical colleges allocated $18.1m

GOVERNMENT has allocated $18.1million to the 15 technical colleges around the country.

This was the word from Attorney General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum during the 2018-2019 National Budget address in Parliament this evening.

“This will allow these institutions to continue passing on invaluable trades to our people in high demand in our country,” he said.

“We are carrying out a review in partnership with the Australian Government on how to keep our course work in technical colleges relevant and impactful for our students.”
