Listen to this article:

A TOTAL of $300,000 has been allocated to make internet availability more accessible to students.

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the sum was allocated to connect more Fijian schools to the internet.

“Combining with the telecentre programs, this ensures easier access to updated materials and more Fijian students can take in nationwide learning experience,” he said.

Meanwhile, six more telecentres are expected to be set up in remote and rural areas, bringing the total number to 35.
