Update: 12:32PM SEVENTEEN roads in the North remain closed to traffic due to flooding while others await Fiji Roads Authority remedial works.
A statement
from the authority issued today revealed that seven of the 17 roads were awaiting FRA
remedial works.
The roads include:

- Qelemumu
Road – Qelemumu crossing underwater
- Naduna
Road – Solove Road Junction underwater
- Naduna – Culvert 9/2 underwater
- Nakorotari
Road – Navakuru crossing underwater
- Vunivau
village Road – Underwater
- Nakelikoso – Nubu Crossing underwater
- Vunivutu
Road – Crew to work on road on 08/04/18
- Vunicuicui
Road – Fallen trees – Crew attending to this
- Vunivau
Circular Road – Fallen Trees – Crew attending to them
- Banikea/
Kavula Road – Banikea crossing flooding
- Lalakoro
Road – Lalakoro crossing underwater
- Nayarabale
Road – Culvert 0/1 crew to attend to this on 08/04/18
- Nayarabale
Road – Nayarabale crossing – structure completely washed out – FRA to attend to
it on 08/04/18
- Buavou
Road – Buavou Crossing underwater
- Dreketi
Irrigation Road, Natua – Significant pavement failure – FRA crew to attend to
case tomorrow
- Bagata
Road – Bagata Bridge – flooding
FRA has urged the public to stay off flooded roadways and not to
drive into water of unknown depth and current as this could be life
threatening.
