A TOTAL of 1321 students will graduate from the University of the South Pacific today and tomorrow.

Vice-Chancellor and President of USP Professor Rajesh Chandra said this was the highest number of graduates in September, which was more than 11 per cent compared to last year.

Mr Chandra says out of the 1321 graduates, 64 per cent are women.

The 568 students that graduated today are from the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment and from the Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE).

Mr Chandra said students from 18 countries graduated today, including 10 non-member countries, which testified to the growing international profile and attraction of the university.
