FIJI Secondary Schools Rugby Union has once again secured a five year partnership deal with Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji for the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Super Deans Championship.

A total sponsorship of $1.2 million was confirmed by marketing manager Lawrence Tikaram for the duration of the sponsorship.

General manager Roger Hare says the partnership was important for the betterment of the children’s future in rugby.

“After 10 successful years of partnership we’re grateful to FSSRU for having us as partner with them for another secondary school rugby season,” he said.

“We’re excited of what the future hold for us especially when grooming our children to become skilled players.

“For the next five years we will make this championship a bit bigger and better where we support grassroots rugby and we’re proud of this sponsorship.”

He added this kind of competition would produce new stars for Fiji.

“This is a chance for them to showcase their talents as we all know rugby is tough, uncompromising and very skilled and we know every individual have potential to make it through the international arena.”

Meanwhile, FSSRU president Setareki Merekula said the renewal of the partnership would help the students and management perform at its best.
